Reiki accelerates the bodies ability to heal physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritally.

Reiki is safe, cannot harm, is non religious and is touch activated.

Reiki is self-empowering, enabling the body to heal itself.

Reiki complements western/conservative medicine. It dies not replace medical consultation, but has proven to have a positive effect on many health conditions.

You do not have to believe in Reiki for it to work, as Reiki demands no special state of consciousness on the part of the practitioner or recipient.

The recipient remains fully clothed while the practitioner places their hands on the area being treated for 5 minutes.

If it is not possible to lay hands on a person, e.g. painful burn, then the hands can be held 1-2 inches above the affected area.

Reiki was discovered in Japan in the mid-nineteenth century by a Christian monk and Sanscrit Scholar, Dr Mikao Usui after working with a formula found in an ancient sutra. He gained understanding and perfected them through meditation.

This knowledge he passed on to a Japanese doctor, Dr Chujiro Hayashi, who in turn passed it on to a Japanese Hawaiian woman named Hawayo Takata. Mrs Takata was responsible for bringing the technique to the western world by training 22 Reiki Masters before she died in 1980.

I completed all my Reiki training with Reiki Grand Master Glenys Crack during the 4 years 2004 to 2008.

I practised on family and friends to gain more experience and decided to become a Reiki practitioner in 2006 after many requests to take on clients.

During the first degree workshop you will receive four attunements over two days.

Attunements will:
Create a permanent connection to the Reiki energy
Balance and align all your chakras


You will learn:

The 12 Reiki hand positions
To give yourself a full Reiki session
To give Reiki to animals and plants
To share Reiki in a group
To apply Reiki in emergencies

Receive one attunement to further expand the pathway created during the first degree training. This will attune you to three (of seven) universal symbols.
